The Rev. Canon Michael A. Bamberger,
Rector (mab@ascension-sierramadre.com)
Michael Bamberger has served at the Church of the Ascension since 1985,
and as rector since 1986. Educated at the University of California,
Santa Barbara and at Nashotah House, a seminary of the Episcopal Church
in Wisconsin, he previously served as a mission vicar based in Needles,
California with congregations along the Colorado River. Married since
1979 to Debbie, he has two sons - Christopher and Matthew. The rector
serves the Diocese of Los Angeles as chair of the Commission on
Ministry and as a trainer for making the church a safer place. He
serves the community as Battalion Chief for the Sierra Madre Volunteer Fire Department. |

Allison is currently a second-year student at Claremont School of Theology in the joint Master of Divinity program with the Episcopal School of Theology at Claremont. In addition to her coursework at Claremont, she enjoys reading, running, and vocal music. |

Ms. Hanna Kang , Parish Administrator (parish@ascension-sierramadre.com)
Hanna has been serving as Parish Administrator since February 2007. A graduate of Wheaton College, she tutors and works as a freelance writer and editor in addition to being parish administrator. Hanna loves to read, travel, cook, hike, and do yoga. She is in the office Monday thru Friday from 9-2pm. |

Dr. Debora Huffman, Organist/Choirmaster (drdhuffman@msn.com)
Dr. Debora L. Huffman has been affiliated with Church of the Ascension
since 2000; previously she served churches in Pasadena, Arcadia,
Gastonia, N.C., and Oak Brook, IL. Her responsibilities as
Organist/Choirmaster at Ascension complement her position as Associate
Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Southern California
Thornton School of Music. A graduate of Wheaton College, Northwestern
University, and the USC Rossier School of Education, Dr. Huffman is a
member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the Association of Anglican Musicians. |
