The Choir of Ascension  

​With an extensive repertory spanning hundreds of years, The Choir performs choral works from 16th to 20th Century English, German, and French Cathedral music through to 20th and 21st Century American music. One might hear Orlando Gibbons or Maurice Duruflé this Sunday, a René Clausen setting of an
African American Spiritual or Cesar Frank’s Psalm 150 next Sunday, or one of the many hymn settings of John Rutter or Mac Wilberg on other Sundays. Several times throughout the year, The Choir is joined by guest professional Brass or String ensembles from the Arts Community.
 

Join the Choir

During the school year, the choir at Ascension rehearses regularly 9:00-10:00AM and sings weekly, joyfully leading in worship and offering anthems at the 10:15AM service.  Other special rehearsals are scheduled as needed.  New members are welcome in Ascension’s choir.
